Codex assists with research, scripts and quality checks. Voice-over, captions and rendering use local tools. Sources and generated media are retained for review.
A privately operated video tool
Shorts Factory helps the owner of mphra.nl create English-language animated explainers. It combines source research and scriptwriting with local voice generation, subtitles and video rendering on the operator’s Mac.
Every video requires human approval before publication. Connecting a YouTube account does not approve a video or start an upload.

02 / REVIEW
The operator previews the video, script, sources and publication details in a local dashboard. Approval applies to a specific video version, media file and metadata.
03 / PUBLISH
The official YouTube API can upload approved videos. Available performance metrics support later review. TikTok uses an approved-video export for manual upload.
The local application requests permission to upload videos, view the connected YouTube account and read YouTube Analytics reports. These permissions let the operator publish approved work and review available results for the connected channel.
Access and refresh tokens are stored in macOS Keychain. Local media, workflow records and collected metrics are stored on the operator’s Mac. When the operator explicitly requests Codex-assisted performance analysis, stored performance records are sent to Codex/OpenAI for that analysis. See the privacy policy for details.
This is a tool for the operator’s own workflow. These public information pages do not provide account registration, a hosted video dashboard or a remote upload service.
Shorts Factory is privately operated by the owner of mphra.nl. For questions about the application, account access or privacy, email meckyp1994@gmail.com.
